Geographically, Tittmoning is located directly on the border with Austria on the river Salzach. The town is surrounded by green hills and offers a breathtaking view of the Alpine panorama.

One of the most famous sights here is certainly Tittmoning Castle from the 12th century, which towers high above the town and is a truly majestic sight. The town museum with its diverse collection on the history of the town is also definitely worth a visit.

Besides these historical highlights, however, Tittmoning has even more to offer: Culturally interested people will be thrilled by the annual jazz festival or the numerous concerts and theatre performances in summer. Culinary specialities such as Bavarian delicacies or Austrian specialities can be enjoyed in cosy restaurants.

For outdoor enthusiasts there are also many possibilities: Whether hiking through the picturesque landscape, cycling along the river or canoeing on the Salzach - everyone gets their money's worth here! In winter, nearby ski areas also invite you to go skiing and snowboarding.

You don't have to be sad even if it's raining: The indoor swimming pool as well as various museum visits offer a change from the bad weather.

Where is it most beautiful in Tittmoning? That's hard to say, because every place has its own charm. But a walk along the river or a hike on the surrounding hills are definitely highlights and offer unforgettable views.

Overall, Tittmoning is definitely worth a visit - whether as a stopover on a longer trip or as a destination for a relaxing short break. This travel guide is designed to help you get the most out of your stay!
