Tittmoning-Maria Brunn-Mühlham-Wiesmühl-Törring-St.Coloman-Tengling-Taching-Otting-Gessenberg-Waging
Once again, from the castle there is a view over the medieval town. In Maria Brunn, the "healing" water can be refilled for the day. Another varied daily stage with beautiful resting places. One of them with a wonderful view of the Tachinger and Waginger lakes is the one by the church of St. Coloman. From there, the shorter route along the east bank of the lake is recommended, from Tettenhausen to Waging and Gaden to the St. Rupert Church. The path through the gentle hilly landscape, with a wide view of the Alpine range over the Tachinger Lake to the Dachstein and the Berchtesgaden Alps, lets you forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Gently uphill and downhill, the route goes over meadows, forest paths and side streets through the beautiful pre-Alpine region. Immediately after Asten follows the "Rupertiwinkel", the area that belonged for a long time to the Archdiocese of Salzburg and is shaped by its first bishop Rupert. Passing the lovely pilgrimage church "Maria Brunn" and the medieval castle with a wonderful view, the route goes down to the Salzach town of Tittmoning.

The St. Rupert Pilgrimage Trail connects, mostly via unpaved hiking paths, artistic testimonies of the veneration of St. Rupert and legendary sacred places that tell stories and offer rest and tranquility through their beauty and views. Everywhere the eventful shared history of Salzburg and the Rupertiwinkel region is palpable.
Special quality: - Unlike many other existing pilgrimage routes, asphalt paths are almost entirely avoided in favor of existing scenic hiking trails. Municipalities and their churches are connected, which have played a special role in the biography, history of re-Christianization, and veneration of St. Rupert. The "path guide" provides not only route descriptions but also reveals and explores the traces (legends, artworks, testimonies of veneration, folk culture) of this history.
It is connected to the existing pilgrimage network: - Connecting locations: Way of St. James: Altötting, Siegsdorf, Traunstein, Bad Reichenhall, Seekirchen, Salzburg; Via Nova: Seekirchen; Benedictine Way: Altötting
