Geographically, Stützengrün lies at the foot of the Ore Mountains and is surrounded by an impressive landscape. The region is known for its picturesque forests, valleys and hills, as well as its many rivers and lakes.

Touristically relevant sights include Schwarzenberg Castle and the Botanical Garden in Chemnitz. There are also cultural highlights to discover here - for example the famous Christmas market in Annaberg-Buchholz or the miners' festival in summer.

    Ich bin den Jakobsweg "Silberberg" von Annaberg-Buchholz bis nach Eich - Lengenfeld gegangen. Sehr schöne Wege, man ist viel allein, schöne Begegnungen mit den Einheimischen in den Ortschaften. Tolle Kirche in Schneeberg! Der Wanderweg ist sehr gut ausgeschildert, nur selten ist die Jakobsmuschel mal verkehrt herum angebracht worden. Es gelang mir nicht überall, einen Pilgerstempel zu bekommen. Manche Kirchen oder der Gasthof, wo sich die Stempelstelle befand, waren geschlossen, als ich vorbei kam. In Grünhain gibt es im Gemeindehaus der Kirche eine Pilgerunterkunft. Und in Lößnitz wurde gerade die Kirche zur Pilgerkirche eingeweiht. Im Stempelkasten vor der Lößnitzer Kirche stehen auch zwei Telefonnummern für Übernachtungen. Da ich Montags gestartet bin, fand ich leider meist nur geschlossene Gaststätten. (oft Mo., Di., Mi. Ruhetag) Ich lief die Strecke in den Etappen Annaberg-Buchholz - Grünhain - Bad Schlema - Hundshübel (die Pension "Zum Torfstich" bietet auch an Ruhetagen Übernachtungsmöglichkeit an - am besten über E-Mail anfragen.) - Rodewisch - Eich/Lengenfeld.

    Super Runde, die auch ausreichend abwechslungsreich ist. Bis auf eine Stelle (übergroße Schotterblöcke / Steinpassage auf dem Weg nach Wolfsgrün) auch problemlos mit dem Gravelrad zu fahren. :)

    Sehr schöne Runde um die Talsperre - einzig ein extrem zugewildertes Stück zwischen Eibenstock und Schönheide hätte anders gelegt werden können - war bei den heutigen Regenfällen aber auch einfach extra nervig. ;)

    Sehr schöne Runde im Wald um den Kuhberg auf geschotterten Waldwegen. Der Besuch des Kuhberg es ist ein kleiner Abstecher mit steilen Aufstieg. Der Ausblick vom Aussichtsturm ist sehr gut für 50 Cent. Der Hinweis auf eine Geldwechselgelegenheit in der Gaststätte ist falsch da geschlossen (17.062023).

    Start ist in Eibenstock, danach geht es sehr lange durch den Wald bergauf nach Carlsfeld. Die Thalsperre ist ein Traum mit den schönen Seiteneingangen zum verweilen. Danach ging es durchs Blauenthal bergab. Ein wunderbares Stück Natur zum Wandern. Sehr zu empfehlen. Dann erreicht man die Thalsperre Sosa. Und von dort ging es zur Eibenstock Thalsperre und zum Startpunkt zurück.

    Schöne Runde, allerdings sehr viele Asphalt oder Schotterwege. Im Süden kann man bei normalem oder niedrigen Wasserstand am Ufer des Sees entlang laufen und damit das Stück Straße vermeiden.

    Eine schöne Tour war es gewesen. Der Aufstieg zum Auersberg ist das Highlight der Tour. Kurz vor Aue versagten beide GPS-Geräte mit dem aufgezeichneten GPX-Track. Demzufolge ging es durch die Innenstadt, was nicht besonders empfehlenswert ist. Hier waren es ca. 1100 Hm, wobei der Track eben ab Aue nicht 1:1 nachgefahren werden konnte.
