Discover the region

The town of Sindelsdorf is located at the foot of the Hoher Peißenberg mountain and offers a picturesque setting with traditional Bavarian houses and a beautiful 18th century church. Weilheim-Schongau, on the other hand, is a larger town with many sights such as the historic old town, the town museum or Neuschwanstein Castle.

One highlight in this region is the many outdoor activities you can do here: Hike along marked trails through idyllic valleys or climb one of the peaks of the surrounding mountains - there are countless possibilities for every taste! It is especially beautiful here in spring and summer, when everything blossoms and greens.

This region also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine: Try hearty dishes such as pork knuckle or Kaiserschmarrn as well as local specialities such as draught beer or Obatzda cheese. A visit to a farm is also a special experience - here you can enjoy fresh dairy products directly from the producer!

If the weather doesn't play along, there is still plenty to discover: For example, visit the Benediktbeuern Monastery with its impressive baroque church or take a trip to the "Alpamare" leisure pool. A visit to the "Beer and Oktoberfest" museum in Weilheim-Schongau is also highly recommended.

All in all, Sindelsdorf, Weilheim-Schongau is definitely worth a trip - whether for a weekend getaway or a longer holiday. With this Travel Guide you have all the important information and tips for your stay in this beautiful region of Germany!

Man könnte also ohne Not auf der asphaltierten Straße weiterfahren.
