Geographically, Simonswald is located between the cities of Freiburg and Offenburg, surrounded by green forests and lush meadows. The landscape here is breathtakingly beautiful and invites you to go hiking, cycling or simply relax.

Tourist highlights include the historic old town with its half-timbered houses and the local history museum, which provides an insight into the history of the region. The parish church of St. Georg from the 15th century is also worth seeing.

Cultural highlights are provided by regular events such as the traditional ham festival or the Christmas market in winter. Here you can try regional specialities and mingle with the locals.

If you enjoy culinary delights, you should definitely try Black Forest ham - a local delicacy! But other dishes such as Maultaschen or Spätzle are also highly recommended.

In terms of outdoor activities, Simonswald has a lot to offer: In summer, hiking trails through dense forests or along idyllic streams entice you; those who prefer it a little faster can explore the surroundings on a bicycle or tee off at golf. In winter, on the other hand, cross-country trails and ski slopes invite you to go skiing.

Even when the weather is bad, you don't have to miss out on activities in Simonswald: The indoor swimming pool offers bathing fun for the whole family and the cinema regularly shows current films.

The most beautiful spot in Simonswald is hard to name, because there are picturesque places everywhere. However, the lookout tower at the Brend or the romantic waterfall in the district of Wildgutach are particularly recommended.

Overall, Simonswald is definitely worth a trip and a perfect destination for all nature lovers, culture enthusiasts and gourmets. With this travel guide, you now have all the important information for a successful stay!
