The geographical location of Senftenberg is unique and impressive at the same time. The city is located on the shores of Lake Senftenberg and thus has a picturesque backdrop to offer. The lake itself is the second largest artificial lake in Europe with an area of 1300 hectares.

Senftenberg is known for its tourist attractions such as the Schlossparkmuseum, which presents the history of the region as well as giving visitors an insight into the culture. The amphitheatre "Seestern-Panorama" also invites you to linger and offers regular events.

If you want to be spoilt culinary, then you should definitely visit one of the many restaurants that serve regional specialities. Another recommendation would be to buy fresh fruit or vegetables at the weekly market and prepare them yourself.

For outdoor activities, the spring to autumn weekends are particularly suitable for hiking tours or water sports activities - whether swimming or sailing on the lake - here every sports enthusiast will get their money's worth!

Even if it rains, you don't have to be sad: The "Senftenberger Badeparadies" adventure pool promises pure bathing fun with slides and various swimming pools.

Senftenberg is worth a trip at any time of year. In summer you can relax by the lake, enjoy the colourful landscape in autumn or head to the Christmas market in winter.

Where is Senftenberg at its best? That depends entirely on your interests! Whether nature, culture or sport - everyone will find something suitable for an unforgettable stay here. We hope you enjoy your journey of discovery through this unique city!
