Maps and trails
Geographically, Schonstett is idyllically situated between the rolling hills of the Alpine foothills and the sparkling Simssee lake. The region offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or swimming. It is particularly beautiful here in spring and summer.

But Schonstett also has a lot to offer culturally. The landmark of the community is the baroque parish church of St. Margaretha from the 18th century with its magnificent ceiling paintings and frescoes by Johann Baptist Zimmermann.

Another highlight are the annual festivals and events such as the traditional Maypole raising in May or the popular wine festival in September.

Culinary delights include regional specialities such as fresh trout from Lake Simssee or juicy steaks from the grill.

And what to do if the weather is bad? Don't worry, even then there are plenty of options for leisure activities. How about a visit to the nearby city of Rosenheim? Here you will find numerous museums as well as cosy cafés and restaurants.

Summarising: Schonstett is definitely worth a trip! Whether nature enthusiasts or culture fans - everyone gets their money's worth here. Come and visit us - we look forward to introducing you to Schonstett.

Rennrad? Anfangs zwei kürzere unbefestigte 1k Abschnitte um Wasserburg; gg. Ende zwei längere matschige bzw. holprige Wald- bzw. Feldwege über vlt. jeweils 2k. Danke für die schöne Tour! 😊
