Schlangenbad is known for its healing thermal springs, which have been used for centuries. The town's geographical location between the hills of the Taunus makes it an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Sights relevant to tourism include the historic Kurhaus with its magnificent halls from the Wilhelminian period, the museum in the old town hall and the Frauenstein castle ruins with their breathtaking panoramic view over the Rheingau.

Cultural highlights include concerts in the Protestant church or readings on the culture ship "MS Godesia". The annual wine festival on the first weekend in September also attracts many visitors.

Those looking for culinary delights will also find what they are looking for here. There are several restaurants in Schlangenbad that serve regional specialities such as Handkäs' mit Musik (hand cheese with music) or beef dishes. Wine tastings at local vintners are also a special highlight.

For outdoor activities, there are hikes through the Taunus - it is particularly beautiful here in spring during the cherry blossom season or in autumn during the Indian Summer. In summer you can swim in the open-air swimming pool or play a round of mini-golf. For cyclists, there are numerous routes through the picturesque landscape.

And what do you do in Schlangenbad when it rains? A visit to the indoor swimming pool "Aqua Mares" with sauna area and wellness area is a good alternative here.

Best place in Schlangenbad? That's hard to say, because the whole place has a special charm. But the viewpoints on the surrounding hills and the spa park with its many old trees and the small lake are certainly particularly beautiful.

Overall, Schlangenbad as a destination offers many possibilities for a varied stay. This travel guide is intended to help you plan your holiday in the best possible way!

Tour anders Herrum gemacht.
