Visitors can look forward to numerous sights, including Osterhofen Castle with its baroque gardens and the town parish church of St. Margaretha with its impressive tower. A stroll through the historic old town is also worthwhile: here you will find lovingly restored half-timbered houses and cosy cafés.

Cultural highlights include the annual arts and crafts festival and the "Ostersonic" music festival, where local bands provide the best entertainment.

For culinary delights, we recommend a visit to one of the traditional inns or breweries, where regional specialities such as liver dumplings or pork knuckles are served. A special highlight is also the annual beer garden competition, where guests can vote for the best places to relax outdoors.

Those who like to be active will be thrilled by the numerous outdoor activities: Hiking along the Danube cycle path or canoeing on one of the many lakes - everyone gets their money's worth here! It is especially beautiful here in spring when the fruit trees are in blossom or in summer for swimming at the surrounding lakes.

Even if it rains there is enough to do: A visit to the indoor swimming pool or the sauna ensures relaxation and recreation.

Overall, Osterhofen is a destination that is definitely worth a trip. Whether as a day trip or a longer stay - everyone will find something to their liking here. We hope that our Travel Guide tips will help you with your planning and that you will soon be able to discover the beauty of this place!
