Geographically, Öllingen lies on the edge of the Swabian Alb and is characterised by a breathtaking landscape. The region is known for its numerous castles, palaces and churches as well as the picturesque hiking trails through meadows and forests.

One of the tourist attractions in Öllingen is the 14th century Lautlingen Castle with its impressive garden. The 18th century St. John's Church also attracts many visitors every year.

Cultural highlights can also be discovered: Learn more about the history of the village at the local history museum or attend a performance at the Lindenhof Theatre - a real insider tip among culture lovers.

For culinary delights, be sure to take a look at the regional cuisine: Try the Swabian onion roast or enjoy a fresh beer in one of the cosy inns.

The best outdoor activities can vary depending on the season: In summer, hikes on nearby mountains such as the Hohenstaufen are a great option or spend a day at the Blautopf - a beautiful spring with deep blue water. In winter, ski resorts like Donnstetten invite you to go skiing.

Even when it rains, there is plenty to do in Öllingen: Visit the Bad Urach thermal baths or take a guided tour of the Laichingen stalactite cave.

Where is the most beautiful place in Öllingen? That depends entirely on your preferences. If you like hiking, you should visit the Hohenstaufen and enjoy the view. For a leisurely stroll, we recommend the Lautlingen Castle Garden.

In summary, Öllingen is definitely worth a visit - with its sights, cultural highlights and outdoor activities, the town offers something for everyone. The Alb-Donau district has a lot to offer and will certainly provide you with unforgettable memories!

Very nice and easy hike. Spring is a lovely time to do this with all the spring flowers. On Sunday there are a lot of people walking. You won't be alone.
