Geographical location: Oberhaching is located south of Munich and is surrounded by a picturesque landscape with forests, lakes and mountains. The proximity to the Bavarian capital also makes the place interesting for city trips.

Touristically relevant sights: One of the best-known sights in Oberhaching is the 17th century Hohenpähl Castle. Today it houses a museum and can be visited. The church of St. Stephanus is also worth a visit: it dates from the 15th century and impresses with its baroque furnishings.

Cultural highlights and events: Cultural events take place regularly in Oberhaching, such as the cultural forum or concerts in the church of St. Stephanus. A highlight in summer is the traditional folk festival on the market square.

Culinary specialities: The regional cuisine has a lot to offer: From hearty dishes like veal sausage or pork knuckle to sweet treats like apple strudel or Zwetschgendatschi - here every palate gets its money's worth!

Outdoor activities: Above the village is the Bergwaldpark, where you can climb on various courses - ideal for adventurers! In winter, the nearby skiing areas entice you with perfectly groomed slopes. Hikes and bike tours through the idyllic landscape are also an experience at any time of year.

In case of rain: Even in bad weather, there are plenty of ways to pass the time in Oberhaching: You can go swimming in the indoor pool or watch a film in the cinema.

Best: It is especially beautiful in Oberhaching in spring, when nature awakens and everything is green and blossoming. But summer also has its charm - then beer gardens invite you to linger.

Summary: Oberhaching is a versatile destination with an impressive landscape, cultural highlights and culinary delights. Whether adventurer or bon vivant - everyone gets their money's worth here! A visit is definitely worthwhile.

Good bike ride through the forest so close to Munich. One note, if you pedal with a higher pace, this can be managed in about 1.30h or so.
