Discover the region

Geographically, Nußbaum is located in the heart of Rhineland-Palatinate and borders on the Soonwald-Nahe Nature Park. The region is characterised by a picturesque landscape of vineyards and dense forests. The climate is mild with warm summers and cool winters.

Nußbaum is known for its historic buildings such as St. Nicholas Church or Waldthausen Castle, which give an insight into the town's rich history. Also worth seeing are the Römerhalle museum and the spa park with its healing springs.

Cultural highlights can be found in the form of concerts, plays and exhibitions at the Villa Sachsen am Walde cultural centre or the Haus des Gastes. For music lovers, there are also regular jazz evenings at the Heyl zu Herrnsheim winery.

Culinary Nußbaum has a lot to offer: Be sure to try the regional wine or visit one of the many restaurants for traditional German cuisine such as schnitzel or spaetzle. International dishes are also represented here.

Outdoor activities can vary depending on the season: Hiking on the Soonwaldsteig trail or cycling on the Nahe cycle path are particularly good in summer; in winter, on the other hand, skiing at Erbeskopf near the town is a tempting option.

Even if the weather is bad, there are options in Nußbaum: Visit the Salinental, a historic brine bath, or relax at the Crucenia-Therme thermal baths.

All in all, Nußbaum, Bad Kreuznach is a destination with many facets and something for every taste. Whether you are a culture or nature lover - everyone gets their money's worth here!
