Geographically, Neukirch is located on the edge of the Lusatian Mountains and is surrounded by numerous forests. The town is about 20 kilometres north-east of Dresden and 10 kilometres south-west of Bautzen. Particularly impressive are the many small ponds and lakes around Neukirch, which make the area a paradise for nature lovers.

If you are looking for tourist attractions, you should definitely visit Rammenau Castle. The 18th century baroque castle now houses a museum with a collection of historical pieces of furniture as well as paintings and porcelain from times gone by.

Cultural highlights can also be discovered in Neukirch: In summer, the "Neukirch Music Festival" takes place here every year, where various bands perform and encourage visitors to dance. During your stay, you can also experience traditional Sorbian customs such as the Easter egg market or the Christmas market.

For culinary delights, regional specialities such as Spreewald gherkins or Quarkkeulchen are particularly worth trying! On the other hand, those who prefer to be active can go hiking in the surrounding area or take bicycle tours through the idyllic landscape. It is particularly beautiful here in spring, when nature is in full bloom, or in autumn, when the leaves of the trees change colour.

Even in rainy weather, there is plenty to discover in Neukirch: How about a visit to the "Museum der Westlausitz" in Kamenz, for example? Here you can learn everything about the history and culture of this region.

Where is the most beautiful place in Neukirch? That's hard to say - every place has its own charm! But if you want to enjoy a particularly impressive view, you should climb the tower on the Butterberg. From here you have a breathtaking view over the surrounding landscape.

Neukirch is definitely worth a visit - come and experience all these highlights for yourself!

Sehr schöne Runde ohne viel Trubel. Viel Waldwege, teils Schotter und alte Betonwege. Trekkingbike oder MTB Empfehlung.

Landschaftlich sehr reizvoll, gut ausgeschildert. In Kroppen bessere Beschilderung empfehlenswert.
