Geographically, Mörschied is located in a picturesque landscape between the hills of the Soonwald and the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park. The region offers outdoor enthusiasts numerous opportunities for hiking, cycling or climbing all year round. In winter, you can even go skiing or cross-country skiing!

But Mörschied also has a lot to offer culturally. Visit the local history museum and learn more about the history of the region or admire the breathtaking architecture of the St. Anna Church. Art lovers should definitely make a detour to the Schloss Dhaun gallery.

For culinary connoisseurs, there is also a lot to discover here: be sure to try the famous "Hunsrücker Spießbraten", a hearty roast pork with spices from the region. Or let yourself be enchanted by local wines such as Riesling or Müller-Thurgau.

    Sehr schöne Tour. Ich bin sie heute mit dem Gravel-Bike gefahren. Mit dem MTB wäre es noch besser gewesen. Einzelne Abschnitte zum Beispiel nach den Idarturm runter nach Rhaunen sind mit einem MTB besser zu fahren.

    Tolle Tour. Bis zur Mitte, an der Burgruine und dem Turm ist der Weg sehr schön und nicht sehr anstrengend. Auch der Rückweg ist leicht.. Alles Naturwege mit herrlichen Ausblicken und interessanten Steinstrukturen. Der Weg ab dem Turm an dem Wildgehege vorbei ist sehr unspektakulär oder auch langweilig. Es ist ein einfacher Forstwirtschaftsweg. Wir würden die Tour einfach ab dem Turm wieder zurück laufen. Das Wildgehege sah ansprechend aus. Eher etwas für Kinder. Dort kann man sich auch stärken. Der Ausgangspunkt der Tour am Campingplatz ist eher unpraktisch, da man auf dem Rückweg durch das Campingplatzgelände laufen muss. Hier würde ich ggf. einen anderen Startpunkt wählen. Der Tipp, die Wanderkarte vor Antritt der Tour herunter zu laden ist gold wert. Ich empfehle auch die Navi-Karten bis dort hin herunter zu laden, da der Teil des Hunsrücks eher schlecht mit Handyverbindungen versorgt ist. Auf den Wegen sollte man sich an die Beschilderung für die Nordic Walkingstrecke bzw. den Saar-Hunsrücksteig halten. Explizit für die Tour gibt es keine Beschilderung-

    Ich bin den Rundweg vor einigen Jahren mit meinem "neuen" E-Bike gefahren. Den Abstecher zum Erbeskopf unbedingt mitnehmen und auch die Wildenburg besuchen. Mein Tipp: genug Strom mitnehmen es sind doch viele Höhenmeter zu schaffen. Und auch Getränke und Verpflegung kann nicht schaden. Leider waren unterwegs verschiedene Ladestationen nicht in Betrieb und mit Gastronomie und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist es auch nicht so gut bestellt. Inzwischen habe ich die Tour in zwei Teile aufgeteilt, da sich die Strecke bei Börfunk/Abentheuer fast trifft und bin nun schon mehrmals diese kleine Runde zwischen Nonnweiler und Börfink und die große Runde zwischen Börfink und Kempfeld/Mörschied schon mehrmals gefahren. Ein wirkliches Erlebnis.

    Wunderschöne abwechslungsreiche Rundtour. Wir haben uns Zeit genommen und die Radtour an zwei Tagen mit einer Zwischenübernachtung in Birkenfeld gemacht. Es gibt viel zu entdecken, auch etwas abseits der Strecke (Erbeskopf-Gipfel, Primstalsperre in Nonnweiler, Nationalparkkirche in Muhl, Kirche Heiligenbösch, Aussichtsturm Hattgenstein ...). Mit E-Bikes sind die vielen Höhenmeter gut zu schaffen. Die Wegbeschaffenheit ist weitgehend gut, allerdings gibt es auch ein paar Schotterabschnitte auf denen besondere Achtsamkeit erforderlich ist. Wir kamen insgesamt auf 110 km. Wie schon unten erwähnt, gibt es unterwegs kaum Einkehrmöglichkeiten. Unbedingt ausreichend Verpflegung mitnehmen!

    Höhepunkte dieser Rundtour sind die beeindruckende Quarzitlandschaft der Mörschieder Burr und die Ruine Wildenburg mit ihrem hohen Aussichtsturm im mittleren Teil der Strecke. Hier gibt es sehr schöne Fernsichten. Zuweg und Rückweg verlaufen eher unspektakulär auf tlw. schnurgeraden Forstwegen.
