Mietingen is known for its breathtaking natural scenery with rolling hills, green meadows and dense forests. Visitors can look forward to numerous hiking and cycling trails that lead through this picturesque landscape. The best time for this is in spring or autumn, when the climate is mild and the splendour of the colours is at its best.

But Mietingen also has a lot to offer in terms of culture: Neufrau Castle is one of the most important Renaissance buildings in southern Germany and today houses the local history museum and a festival hall for concerts and theatre performances. The baroque parish church of St. Ulrich & Afra and the historic old town with its 17th century half-timbered houses are also worth a visit.

For gourmets, there are many culinary highlights to discover in Mietingen: from traditional dishes such as spaetzle or schnitzel to regional specialities such as the "Schwabenburger" - gourmets will get their money's worth here.

If it rains, we recommend a trip to the nearby Federsee - one of the largest natural lakes in Baden-Württemberg - where you can learn more about the history of the lake in the Auberlehaus museum. A visit to the thermal baths in Bad Buchau also offers relaxation and recreation.

And where is the most beautiful place in Mietingen? We recommend a walk through the picturesque vineyards or a bike ride along the Danube Cycle Path, which runs directly through the municipality.

Mietingen is definitely worth a visit - whether as a day trip destination or a holiday destination for longer stays. This Travel Guide gives you all the information and travel tips you need to get the most out of your visit.
