Maulbronn lies on the edge of the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park and thus offers a breathtaking landscape with numerous hiking and cycling trails. A tour of Maulbronn Monastery, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is particularly recommended. Here you can gain an insight into the history of the region.

In addition to the monastery, there are other sights to visit such as the historic centre of the village or Lomersheim Castle. Maulbronn also has a lot to offer culturally: The annual music festival "Klosterkonzerte" (Monastery Concerts) attracts many visitors every year.

    Abwechslungsreicher Weg, gut ausgeschildert. Sehr idyllisch ist das kleine Museum in Maulbronn, für uns am Ende des Weges. Das letzte Stück entlang der Klostermauer ist zur Zeit gesperrt. Man findet leicht eine Alternative.

    Eine sehr schöne und entspannende Wanderung bietet sich hier dem geneigten Wanderer. Besonders auch in dieser Jahreszeit (Herbst) ist es sehr schön, durch das üppige Herbstlaub im ersten Teil der Wanderung durch den Wald zu laufen. Im zweiten Teil über das freie Feld bieten sich Blicke auf Tiere (Schafe & Pferde). Auch die Route durch Maulbronn ist abwechslungsreich und bietet schöne Einblicke in kleine Gassen mit malerischen Gebäuden, aber auch schöne Ausblicke über den Ort und das Kloster. Auch mit Kindern eine abwechslungsreiche Tour. Leider ist derzeit (und wohl noch die nächsten Monate) der Fußweg vom Tiefen See zum Parkplatz zurück gesperrt. Die Beschilderung vor Ort wurde an dieser Stelle angepasst und führt auf einen parallel verlaufenden höher liegenden Weg. Allerdings finden sich oben angekommen keine Hinweise mehr, wie der Weg weiter verläuft. Mit Karte oder auch nur wenig Orientierung kein Problem (das Ziel ist fast schon in Sichtweite), aber trotzdem schade. Ein laminierter Ausdruck würde schon genügen.

    Bei trockenem Wetter ist es mit dem E-Mountainbike eine sehr schöne abwechslungsreiche Tour bei mittler Anstrengung, vorausgesetzt das Fahrkönnen liegt im mittleren Bereich. Längere Abschnitte sind gut befahrbare, meist wurzelfreie, schmale Pfade, die durch Waldabschnitte entlang und durch Weinberge führen.

    Sehr schöne Runde mit interessante Zwischenzielen rund um das Kloster Maulbronn. Meist auf breiten Wirtschaftswegen. Einen Punkt Abzug, weil die Wanderung auf dem Rückweg von Zaisersweiher nach Maulbronn auf dem Asphaltweg etwas eintönig ist.

    wir sind die Tour Ende April bei idealem Wetter (Sonnenschein , 17-18 Grad) gefahren. Schöne Strecke durch Feld und etwas Wald. Im Frühling (Blüte) und Herbst wohl am schönsten und angenehmsten (nicht zu heiß). Streckenführung meist auf gut asphaltierten Wegen, teils entlang von Straßen (wenig Verkehr). Mit dem Kloster Maulbronn gibt es obendrein etwas Kultur und ein schönes Ziel. Keine Ausschilderung, deswegen ist die App sehr hilfreich. Wie beschrieben braucht man etwas Kondition oder ein E-Bike. Im Frühling während der Obstblüte 5 Sterne, im Sommer bei Hitze eher weniger.
