The Löffelstelz castle ruins greet from the mountain. In the 12th century, Ulrich von Dürrmenz was Imperial Chancellor under Emperor Rotbart – and Lomersheim had a monastery before it was moved to Maulbronn.

Wine tip: At Kaltenstein Castle, the best Lembergers are rewarded annually with the "Vaihinger Lion."

    Roadbook

The route starts in Mühlacker at Kelterplatz (in front of the town hall). It passes the town hall, over the bike and pedestrian bridge, then left through the park and to the bridge over the Enz.
After crossing the Enz, turn left and follow the "Dammweg" along the river. At its end, take L 1134 ("Herrenwaag") to the town exit. There, turn left downhill into "Bodenrainweg."
Shortly before reaching the district road, turn left over the bridge and on the dike around the sports field. Straight on the road, under the bridge and follow the paved path along the Enz.
At the T-intersection, turn left and over the wooden bridge. Follow the Enz valley path through Mühlhausen and Roßwag.
At the town exit, leave the town on the cycle path on the left side of the road. At the end of the farm road, take the footpath to the intersection and turn right through the underpass. Turn right, ascend to the bridge and cross the Enz. After the bridge, turn left downhill and take the farm road to Vaihingen.
At the district road, go left on it, cross the Enz and at the veering priority road, go straight uphill into the pedestrian zone.
There turn left into "Stuttgarter Straße," then right into "Heilbronner Straße" and uphill straight on this street.
After the underpass, turn right around the corner, go straight at the traffic light, then immediately left into the bike/pedestrian path. Uphill parallel to the main road through the residential area.
At the hill, turn left to and straight over the main road and on the bike/pedestrian path to the train station. There turn right through the underpass, then on the bike/pedestrian path into Kleinglattbach.
In the residential area, go straight, then left downhill on "Wilhelmstraße." At the main road, turn left on it, cross the tracks and at the town exit, turn right into "Bachstraße."
Next left, along the stream out of town. Through the underpass and further along the stream. At the second bridge, turn right uphill to the district road. There turn right and on the cycle path to Horrheim. Pass the sports field straight into the town on "Eugenstraße."
Turn left into "Alte Stadtmauer Straße," right into "Alte Schulstraße," left into "Klosterbergstraße" and straight over L1106 into "St. Leonhard Straße." Turn right into "Plattenweg," straight over the bridge to the other side of the valley. There follow the road left out of town.
Shortly before the T-intersection, turn right into the farm road and parallel to L1131 along the valley to Gündelbach.
Follow "Reutwiesenstraße" straight into town. Straight into "Schützinger Straße" and the next left into "Steinbruchweg." After the bridge, turn right around the corner and follow the Metter upstream along the slope to Schützingen.
Go straight on "Illinger Straße" through the town. Over the Metter and straight over the main road, uphill out of town on "Manfred Behr Straße."
At the edge of the forest, turn left, past the farm, and at the following three-way intersection, half right. Then follow the forest path straight through the forest. At the forest edge, straight on, gently downhill into Diefenbach.
Straight over the main road, at the following fork turn left, past the church. Turn left into "Maulbronner Weg," half right along the forest edge and uphill into the forest.
At the T-intersection turn left and follow the main path straight for about 2 km to L1131. Cross this straight and take the farm road straight through the valley.
At K4513 straight, after the hiking parking lot turn left into the farm road downhill to Lienzingen. At K4512 left downhill to the town entrance, then right into "Schelmenwaldstraße." At its end, turn left around the corner into "Alemannenstraße."
On the footpath to the main road, turn right there and follow the cycle path along L1134 to Mühlacker. At the roundabout right, straight on the priority road across the traffic light, the next roundabout straight and veering left over the tracks.
After the bridge, sharp left and at the end of the street right downhill on "Bahnhofstraße" back to the starting point of the route.
