Laußnitz is particularly well known for its historic church from the 13th century and the idyllic castle park with a pond and old trees. A walk through the village leads past pretty half-timbered houses and small gardens that are lovingly tended.

Cultural highlights include the annual summer festival on the market square and the traditional Christmas market during Advent. Here you can sample regional specialities such as Spreewald gherkins or gingerbread.

For outdoor activities, the nearby Zittau Mountains Nature Park is particularly suitable, where you can go hiking, climbing or mountain biking. In winter, there are also a number of ski resorts in the surrounding area.

Even when the weather is bad, there is plenty to do: The "Lausitztherme" leisure pool invites you to swim and take a sauna, or you can visit the Bautzen Museum with interesting exhibitions on the history of the region.

The most beautiful time in Laußnitz is in spring, when everything is in bloom and green, or in autumn, when the leaves turn colourful. But it's also great in summer - the best thing to do is enjoy a cool drink on one of the cosy terraces in the old town.

Laussnitz, Bautzen district - a destination off the beaten track and definitely worth a trip. With this travel guide, you are well prepared for your discovery tour through the region!

Sehr schöne Runde ohne viel Trubel. Viel Waldwege, teils Schotter und alte Betonwege. Trekkingbike oder MTB Empfehlung.

Landschaftlich sehr reizvoll, gut ausgeschildert. In Kroppen bessere Beschilderung empfehlenswert.
