Discover the region

Kolbermoor is known for its rich history as a centre of the textile industry in the 19th century. Today it is a thriving cultural centre with many sights and activities for visitors of all ages.

The most important tourist attractions include the Museum Industriekultur, which gives an insight into the town's past, as well as the 12th-century Hohenwaldeck Castle or even the Reisach Monastery.

Culturally interested people in particular get their money's worth here: the annual town festival attracts thousands of visitors and offers traditional Bavarian music, dance and food; during the summer festival, concerts and theatre performances take place.

For culinary connoisseurs, there are numerous restaurants - from rustic beer gardens to fine gourmet restaurants - everyone will find something to their taste!

Those who prefer outdoor activities will not be disappointed either: In spring you can hike through the green meadows or go cycling; In summer lakes like Chiemsee or Simssee invite you to swim; Autumn brings forth beautiful colour landscapes which are best enjoyed on a hike; And when winter comes Kolbermoor turns into a winter wonderland with skiing and snowboarding.

Even when it rains there is plenty to do: Visit the indoor swimming pool or the sauna, stroll through the shopping streets or visit one of the many churches.

Kolbermoor is worth a visit at any time of year. Set off and discover this charming destination in the Rosenheim district - a travel guide for every adventurer!

60 km a runde Sach'.
