The cycle path connects Munich with Rosenheim and runs along the Mangfall River from Feldkirchen-Westerham. The 63 km long route has hardly any climbs and repeatedly invites you to rest at beautiful spots.
The Mangfall cycle path is a well-developed route from Munich to Rosenheim. In Feldkirchen-Westerham, the cyclist meets the Mangfall River, which originates from Lake Tegernsee and makes a bend here. Then it continues along the Mangfall or on riverside paths on flat terrain via Kolbermoor to Rosenheim. There the Mangfall flows into the Inn.
In recent years, the river area has been beautifully renatured and invites you to cool your feet, picnic, and relax.
With few slight climbs, it is well suited for children, and touring bikes, trekking, or mountain bikes are recommended for riding.

- Always check your bike’s lights, brakes, tires, and reflectors before starting!
- Wear bright, reflective clothing in poor visibility (dusk, darkness, fog, etc.). Alternatively: vest or ankle bands with reflector strips.
- Especially in autumn and winter, leaves on the ground can hide possible unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path.
- Additionally attach tall bike flags to your children's bikes so the smallest riders are well seen in traffic.

Roadbook
- At Munich Ostbahnhof, the Mangfall cycle path leads out of Munich on road-adjacent cycle paths via Neuperlach, Perlach, Ottobrunn, and Höhenkirchen to Aying (large brewery beer garden).
- In Feldolling, a tower-like "water castle" with huge pipes and several reservoirs stands out, the Vagen hydroelectric power plant. In Vagen itself, the beautifully designed village appearance and the visit to the Baroque Church of the Assumption of Mary are worthwhile.
- The Weihenlinden Pilgrimage Church with excellent stuccoes and the Animal and Natural History Museum as well as the Salus floodplain biotope are attractions in Bruckmühl.
- Further along the route, the Blindham Mountain Animal Park invites the little guests to play.
- Maxlrain Castle with its brewery beer garden and the spa town of Bad Aibling with historic buildings and artistic Lüftl paintings delight the eye. Besides the beautifully renatured Mangfall River with flower banks and rest areas, the path continues to Kolbermoor.
- The Spinning Mill Industrial Monument in Kolbermoor lies directly on the Mangfall cycle path and is a unique reminder of the industrialization in Kolbermoor.
- On relatively flat terrain, you reach Rosenheim and the confluence with the Inn on the former state garden show grounds and relax in the many cafés of the former salt trading town (sights: Lokschuppen, old town, Wood Technology Museum, Inn Museum, Riedergarten, Municipal Gallery).
