Geographically, Kirchberg is located about 50 kilometres east of Munich and is surrounded by a stunning landscape of rolling hills, meadows and fields. The region is also known as the Bavarian foothills of the Alps and thus offers the perfect backdrop for outdoor activities such as hiking or cycling.

Kirchberg does not only have scenic advantages to offer, however. There is also a lot to discover culturally here - first and foremost the 11th century Hohenkammer Castle and the 17th century St. Michael's Church.

For culinary connoisseurs, Kirchberg also has a lot to offer: Here you can look forward to traditional Bavarian cuisine, but new trends are also happily embraced here. The regional beers are a particular highlight - why not try the famous Erdinger wheat beer!

If it rains, you can spend the day in the many cosy cafés or take the opportunity to visit the Glentleiten farm museum near Kochel am See (approx. 40 km away).

In summer, the nearby Speichersee lake is particularly attractive for swimming or boating - in winter, on the other hand, a ski tour through the snow-covered landscape is more recommended.

All in all, Kirchberg is a beautiful place that has something to offer for everyone - be it nature lovers, culture lovers or epicures. A travel guide for this region should not be missing from any travel planning!
