Dog-friendly hiking
Geographically, Kesseling is situated on a hill above the Ahr. From here you have breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and vineyards. The area is known for its wines and walks along the riverbanks are a must for every visitor. In spring, thousands of wildflowers bloom and in summer you can relax comfortably on the beaches of the Ahr in warm weather.

Cultural highlights can also be discovered: Sinzig Castle with its museum or the Maria Laach Monastery are just a few examples. The region also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine: Be sure to try the traditional Eifel cuisine such as potato pancakes or trout fillet from the grill.

    Die Tour sind wir heute mit eBikes gefahren. Wir hatten einen schönen Tag. Nicht alle Wege haben wir entdeckt und mit ein klein wenig Anpassung hat es geklappt. Danke für's Teilen. Unsere gefahrene Route wurde in Komoot gespeichert mit Verlinkung auf diese Originaltour.

    Eine tolle Tour (auch wenn wir uns die Schleife bei Ahrbrück fürs nächste Mal aufgehoben haben *G*) - die Strecke führt durch interessante, abwechslungsreiche Wälder (kaum langweilige Monokulturen) mit viel Ginster (muss im Frühling toll aussehen...). Die Pfadabschnitte machen einfach Spaß, aber auch die breiteren Wege sind keine Waldautobahnen, sondern eher Wege, über die ab und zu mal ein Jäger fährt. Immer wieder gibt es schöne Ausblicke ins Tal der Ahr oder bis zur Hohen Acht! Ich würde die Tour jederzeit wieder gehen! Ein großer Nachteil (zumindest an einem Sonntag wie heute): Die Motorräder, die durchs Ahrtal oder hoch nach Lind rasen. Selbst der schönste Weg und der spannendste Pfad verlieren (zumindest für mich) an Reiz, wenn man im Hintergrund den Lärm von Motorrädern ertragen muss. Von daher würde ich empfehlen, die Tour unter der Woche zu machen oder dann, wenn kein "Motorradwetter" angesagt ist. Aber davon abgesehen - perfekt! Vielen Dank für diese schöne Tour!

    Tolle Runde, landschaftlich sehr schön. Bis auf die Abschnitte auf den Bundesstraßen waren wir an einem Samstag bei tollem Wetter ziemlich allein unterwegs. Zum Rasen sind die Straßen im übrigen völlig ungeeignet, da oftmals ziemlich schmal mit Gegenverkehr, für unsere Vespa aber prima. Wenn man Zeit genug einplant sollte man sich die Maare anschauen. Teilweise ist Baden erlaubt. Wir mochten das Pulvermaar. An der Ahr gibt es auch viele nette Örtchen zum Verweilen. Allen voran natürlich Ahrweiler und Altenahr. Auch den Nürgburgring könnte man näher erkunden. Alles in allem hat die Runde uns super gefallen. Dankeschön.

    Eine schöne, abwechslungsreiche Strecke, bei der uns neben den Aussichten vom Steinerberg vor allem die zweite Streckenhälfte am Kesselinger Bach und auf dem Mühlenberg gefallen hat. Durch die Höhenmeter und Streckenlänge ist ein wenig Kondition vonnöten, aber es ist gut machbar.

    Hey Ihr beiden… Es ist ja nicht das erste Mal, dass ich eure Touren machen und auch dieses Mal wurde ich nicht enttäuscht… Direkt die Ersten Meter an der Kapelle vorbei zeigen direkt mal was bei der Tour ansteht… Höhenmeter 😅 Teilweise waren die Pfade schon sehr zu gewuchert und Brombeersträucher und Brennesel waren jetzt nicht der Beste Freund meiner Hündin, aber alles in allem war es auch mit Hund eine gut machbare Strecke (vorausgesetzt es ist wie bei uns Bergziege mit eingekreuzt 😂) Wir hatten auf jedenfall Spaß und die Passagen abseits der Wege waren gut machbar.     Eine ganz starke Tour! Die erste Hälfte ist stark durch die dort angesiedetle Wander- und Kraxelspaß-Tour inspiriert, die ebenso sehr zu empfehlen ist. Aber diese Tour hier ist natürlich länger und anstrengender. Außerdem bietet sie tolle alternative Wegeführungen. In der zweiten Hälfte sind die Transitstrecken über breitere aber einsame Waldwege länger. Jedoch führt jede Transitstrecke zu einem weiteren Höhepunkt; auch die um den Kotzberg herum. Die Kraxelpassage dieser Schleife führt hoch zu einem uns noch absolut unbekannten und in verschiedenen Schwierigkeitsgraden begehbaren Grad. Absolut lohnend. Auch die letzte Schleife vor dem Ziel sollte man nicht auslassen. Sie führt ganz zum Schluss über einen schönen Rücken hinab zum Ziel. Absolute Empfehlung. Danke für diese tolle Tour.

    Wunderbare Tour um Ahrbrück. Sie bot uns in unserem Heimatgebiet noch unbekannte Pfade, diesen hübschen kleinen Gratweg oberhalb vom Denntal hatten wir das letzte Mal vor Jahren gemacht.
