Maps and trails
Geographically, Kemnath and Tirschenreuth are located in the northern part of Bavaria. The landscape is characterised by rolling hills, green meadows and dense forests. A special highlight are the numerous lakes, such as the Fichtelsee or the Mitterteich reservoir, which invite you to swim and relax.

Tourist attractions are diverse: Historical buildings such as Neualbenreuth Castle or Falkenberg Castle tell stories from times long past. Churches such as the town parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary also impress with their architecture.

Cultural highlights can also be discovered: The Upper Palatinate Folk Music Museum conveys traditions of the region in an entertaining way. The cultural centre "Das Zentrum" offers a wide range of events from concerts to theatre performances.

For culinary connoisseurs, Kemnath and Tirschenreuth also have a lot to offer: You can enjoy typical Bavarian dishes here - from roast pork to pretzels to beer culture!

Outdoor activities are writ large here: Hiking through the Steinwald Nature Park or cycling along the Waldnaab River are just some of the possibilities. There are also many activities here in winter, such as skiing or cross-country skiing.

And what to do in rainy weather? Visit the cinema in Tirschenreuth or relax in a cosy café and enjoy the atmosphere.

Kemnath and Tirschenreuth are worth a trip at any time of the year - but it is especially beautiful here in spring, when everything starts to blossom, or in autumn, when the forests turn colourful. A travel guide for all nature lovers!
