Kaisersesch is located in the picturesque Cochem-Zell region on the Moselle. The surrounding area is characterised by rolling hills and vineyards - a true paradise for hiking or cycling along the river. The mild climate also makes the area an ideal destination for wine lovers: here you will find some of the best wineries in Germany!

One of the most famous sights in Kaisersesch is Eltz Castle - a 12th century medieval castle built on a hill above the river. It is one of the best-preserved castles in Europe and offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside.

Kaisersesch also has a lot to offer culturally: One highlight is the regular concerts in the historic town centre with its 16th century half-timbered houses. The Marktbrunnenplatz invites you to linger and offers numerous restaurants with regional specialities such as Pfifferlinge (chanterelles) or Zwiebelkuchen (onion tart).

If it ever rains, you can head to the local history museum and learn more about the history of the town or spend the day in the nearby adventure pool.

The best seasons for outdoor activities are spring and autumn, when the countryside shines in the most beautiful colours. A special highlight is a canoe trip on the Moselle or an excursion to one of the numerous viewpoints such as the Calmont Climb - one of the steepest vineyards in Europe!

In summary, Kaisersesch, Cochem-Zell is definitely worth a visit! The picturesque location on the Moselle, historical sights, cultural highlights as well as culinary specialities make this place an unforgettable experience. Whether you are looking for relaxation or want to be active - here you will find everything your heart desires!

Heute diesen ganz abwechslungsreichen Rundweg ab Urmersbach gegangen.

Wochenend-Etappen in drei Jahren.
