Jochberg lonely? Possible, at least partially. But it requires a bit more than usual effort—technically, physically, and in terms of orientation.

Jachenau is especially known for its picturesque location. Surrounded by mountains, forests and rivers, the region offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or skiing. Hikes through the Karwendel Mountains or along the banks of the Isar River are particularly recommended.

The Jachenau Museum of Local History and the historic churches in the village are among the cultural highlights. The region also has a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights: Be sure to try the famous Kaiserschmarrn or enjoy regional specialities such as Weißwurst (white sausage) with pretzels.

In addition to the activities mentioned, there is also plenty to do in bad weather: For example, relax in one of the nearby thermal baths or visit one of the museums in Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen.

Of course, it is especially beautiful here during the warm season - but Jachenau also has its very own charm in winter. Then not only the Brauneck skiing area but also a romantic sleigh ride through snow-covered landscapes beckons.

In total, Jachenau is definitely worth a trip - whether as a starting point for sporting activities or simply to relax and enjoy the breathtaking nature. Our Travel Guide will help you get the most out of your stay!

An einigen Stellen schon steil!
