Geographical location and special features: Gelenberg lies in the heart of the Eifel and is surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The region is known for its numerous volcanic cones, maars and deep forests as well as the picturesque rivers Kyll and Lieser.

Tourist attractions: A must on your list should be the Himmerod Monastery - an impressive building with a fascinating history. Manderscheid Castle from the 13th century is also an impressive attraction, as is Malberg Castle with its beautiful park.

Cultural highlights and events: If you are interested in culture, don't miss the annual arts and crafts market or one of the many concerts that regularly take place as part of the music festival.
