One of the city's best-known landmarks is the old town hall on the market square, an impressive building from the 16th century. Another highlight is Satzvey Castle, a medieval fortress with a fascinating history and numerous events such as medieval markets or knights' games.

Culturally interested visitors can look forward to many highlights: The LVR Industrial Museum Tuchfabrik Müller shows the history of textile crafts in the region and the cultural centre "Alte Mühle" regularly hosts exhibitions of contemporary art.

The area also has a lot to offer in terms of culinary delights - whether regional specialities such as Döppekooche (potato casserole) or international cuisine in the restaurants in the city centre - everyone will find something to suit their taste.

For outdoor fans, there are a variety of options: Hiking through the Eifel National Park or cycling along the Kylltal cycle path are just two examples of outdoor activities. In winter, you can even go skiing on the Hohe Acht mountain!

If it ever rains, we recommend a visit to the Kommern Adventure Museum, which shows the life of people in the region in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Where is the most beautiful? That depends on personal preferences, of course, but a stroll through the picturesque alleys of the old town or a boat trip on the nearby Rursee are certainly highlights for many visitors.

Euskirchen, district of Euskirchen - a destination that definitely deserves a place on every bucket list! Get inspired and discover this beautiful region with our Travel Guide.

Nette Runde ohne viel Anstrengung.
