Eslarn is a small town in Bavaria near the Czech border. The region is surrounded by mountains and thus offers a beautiful panorama. The area is perfect for hiking or cycling through nature. In winter you can go skiing or snowboarding here.

Neustadt an der Waldnaab is also in Bavaria, but further south than Eslarn. Here you will find many historic buildings such as the Old Castle from the 16th century or the town parish church of St. Georgsberg from the 18th century.

In both towns there are numerous museums such as the local history museum in Eslarn or the Upper Palatinate Fishery Museum in Neustadt an der Waldnaab. Art lovers also get their money's worth: Neustadt, for example, is home to the Künstlerhaus Weiden with changing exhibitions of contemporary works.

Culinary-wise, this region has a lot to offer - be sure to try Bavarian specialities such as pork knuckle or liver dumplings as well as regional beers!

If it rains, we recommend a visit to the Bulmare adventure pool in Burglengenfeld or a trip to nearby Regensburg, which is always worth a trip with its historic old town and numerous museums.

The most beautiful places in Eslarn are certainly the mountains around the town and the Waldnaab river. In Neustadt an der Waldnaab, you should definitely visit the town square - there are regular events here, such as a Christmas market in winter or a spring festival in April.

Summarising: Eslarn and Neustadt an der Waldnaab are definitely worth a visit! Here you will find nature, culture and culinary delights at the highest level. We hope that this travel guide will help you with your planning and look forward to welcoming you soon.
