Egesheim lies at the foot of the Swabian Alb and is surrounded by a picturesque landscape. The village is characterised by its idyllic atmosphere and offers its visitors a relaxing break from hectic everyday life. Whether you are travelling alone or with family or friends, Egesheim is definitely worth a visit!

One of the most important sights is undoubtedly the St. George's Church with its impressive church tower dating back to the 13th century. Another highlight is Hohenkrauchen Castle on the mountain peak of the same name - a historic building with a breathtaking view of the surrounding area.

For those interested in culture, it is also worth visiting the local history museum in the centre of the village or one of the numerous festivals, such as the traditional village festival in summer.

Culinary Egesheim also has a lot to offer: Be sure to try the regional specialities such as Maultaschen or Spätzle as well as local wines from the surrounding vineyards.

When it comes to getting active, Egesheim offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts: hike along the Albtrauf or explore the surrounding area by bike. In winter, you can even go skiing nearby.

But what if the weather doesn't cooperate for once? Don't worry - there's plenty to do in Egesheim even when it's raining! Visit the Vita Classica thermal baths in Bad Krozingen, for example, or take a trip to nearby Tuttlingen and discover the numerous museums and galleries there.

And now where is the nicest place to be in Egesheim? That depends on your personal preferences, of course. But a walk through the town centre with its historic half-timbered houses and narrow streets will take any visitor back to a bygone era and make them forget everyday life.

We hope that this guide has helped you to plan your next trip to Egesheim. Enjoy your stay!

Great route. Thanks for uploading. Only a section of road towards the end of the route, otherwise lovely car free experience.
