- From the Laisental car park it is less than 2 km to the Geological Quarry Nusplingen.
- The route can be extended over the Swabian Jura plateau either via the Geological Trail (+ approx. 5 km) or via the network of paths of the neighboring municipality of Egesheim (+ approx. 11 km).

Roadbook
We start from the "Laisental" hiking car park, which lies on the edge of beautiful quiet meadows of the Swabian Jura plateau, and walk about 100m back along the road into the forest, where we turn onto our gravel hiking trail at the curve. At the next fork, we follow the narrow path to the left through the sunlit forest, where on some days you can hear either the woodpecker tapping or the cuckoo calling. After continuing gently uphill, we approach along the edge the 955m high Staufenberg and the wonderful viewpoint "Staufenfelsen," which invites you to linger with its bench. From here, we have a magnificent view of the Upper Bära Valley and the village of Nusplingen with its impressive beech forests and the Old Cemetery Church. Enjoy the unique panoramic view stretching for kilometers over the surrounding mountains of our Swabian Jura plateau. It then goes downhill below the radio tower to an idyllic forest worker's hut. The path leads us to a small clearing which we cross along the edge of the forest. If you are lucky and quiet, you may even spot one or another forest animal. We keep to the right and thus return to the Laisental hiking car park.

Drive on the B27 towards Rottweil and take the exit B463 towards Sigmaringen/Albstadt. After about 2.5 km, take the exit towards Stockach/Beuron/Tieringen/Weilstetten. At the roundabout, take the second exit and pass through Weilstetten on the L440, climbing the Passstraße Stich. Continue on this road through Meßstetten-Tieringen and follow it to Meßstetten-Oberdigisheim. Turn left there to stay on Lochenstraße/L440 until reaching Meßstetten-Unterdigisheim. Shortly after the church, turn right onto Nusplinger Straße and follow it to Nusplingen. Turn right before the town hall in the village center and follow the road out of town. At the end of the road, turn left; the car park is on the right.Parking
