    Hat mir sehr gut gefallen!! Absolut vorbildlich ausgeschildert; mit vielen km-Angaben zum nächsten Ort. Ständiger Wechsel aus tollen Aussichten, schattigen Wäldern, sonnigen Wiesenwegen und viele schöne Rastmöglichkeiten. Habe die Tour bei 35 grad gemacht und da war die Abkühlung im Jünkerather Stausee eine klasse Erfrischung. Super, das es (außer in den Dörfern) kein Asphalt gab. Die Wege waren zumeist gepflegt, müssten aber mal nachgemäht werden. Kann diese Tour immer gerne empfehlen!

    Very nice and varied walk. Really enjoyed it. Need the app for navigation as it's not very well marked. Note that the small wooden bridge at the picknick site west of the Maar was broken. But, it's an easy enough jump. Also, the path crossing the small side stream above the Taufbach doesn't exist (anymore). We took the long way round which adds a kilometre to the walk.

    Die Rundwanderung ist sehr abwechslungsreich und interessant. Die Steigungen sind eher moderat, Wald und offene Flächen wechseln sich ab, wobei der Anteil der Freiflächen größer ist, und man hat immer wieder ganz tolle Weitblicke über das Land. Außerdem kommt man an einigen geologischen Zeugnissen des Vulkanismus der Eifel vorbei, an Maaren und Dreesen (Mineralquellen). Auch mit anderen geschichtlichen Orten kann die Tour aufwarten, wie mit der römischen Ausgrabungsstätte bei Weiermühle. Ich habe die Tour ein kleines Stück erweitert, indem ich von Duppach aus nicht direkt zur römischen Ausgrabungsstätte gelaufen bin, sondern zum Oosbach, an diesem entlang zum Duppacher Weiher und dann hinauf zur Ausgrabungsstätte gewandert bin. Sollte der kleine Parkplatz beim Eichholzmaar belegt sein, empfehle ich nach Duppach zu fahren, denn gegenüber der Kirche gibt es einige Parkplätze und man startet dann von dort.

    Eine wirklich schöne Runde! Sie ist sehr abwechslungsreich und hochinteressant. Die wunderbaren weiten Blicke über die Landschaft sind super. Die Wege durch die Wiesen und Felder gehören einfach dazu, sonst kann man nicht über die Landschaft schauen. Ich habe noch Varianten über die Höhe nach Auel und über die Wallfahrtskapelle Wahlhausen hinzugefügt mit grandiosen Blicken über die weite Eifellandschaft. Die Zeugnisse des Vulkanismus wie der Vulkangarten, die Mineralquellen und das Eichholzmaar sind gut mit Info-Tafeln versehen. Leider kommt der Duppacher Weiher, ein großes Trockenmaar, etwas zu kurz, denn er bildet eine weite Runde in der Landschaft und war noch bis ca. 1930 ein großer fischreicher See. Aber auch die Kirchen, Kapellen, Wegekreuze und das Ausgrabungslände der römischen Villa und Grabmäler sind interessant. Eine rundherum gelungene Wanderung ohne große Anstrengungen und vielen Rastmöglichkeiten.

    Landschaftlich ist die Tour wirklich schön. Die Mineralquellen, das Eichhholzmaar und der Steffelberg waren unsere persönlichen Highlights. Uns hat ein wenig Abwechslung in Höhenmetern gefehlt und fanden es ein bisschen schade, dass es hauptsächlich einfach an Feldern vorbei ging.

    Heute war ein Regentag mit kurzen Aufheiterungen - das ging auf diesem Weg ganz schön. Wir fanden den Weg abwechslungsreich mit unterschiedlicher Oberfläche, gut zu gehen. Empfehlenswert für alle, die nicht gern große Höhenunterschiede überwinden. Trotzdem nicht für Kinderwagen, ein Stück ist ein schmaler wunderbarer Pfad im Wald. Die römischen Ausgrabungen sind gut dokumentiert und informativ. Im Vulkangarten sind die Erläuterungen weniger umfangreich, es empfiehlt sich unbedingt das Infoblatt bei der Touristeninformation in Stadtkyll oder in Steffeln zu besorgen.
