Geographically, Dobel is located at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level and is surrounded by dense forests as well as picturesque hills. The town itself lies between Karlsruhe and Pforzheim and is an ideal starting point for exploring the Northern Black Forest.

Dobel is especially known for its breathtaking nature, which impresses in every season. In summer, you can enjoy wonderful hiking or cycling here - popular routes include the Westweg or the Murgleiter. Climbing enthusiasts also get their money's worth here: the nearby Falkenstein offers a variety of climbing routes of different levels of difficulty.

In winter, Dobel turns into a true paradise for skiers and snowboarders. The Mehliskopf ski centre offers numerous downhill runs and a fun park, while cross-country skiers can make their rounds on the well-prepared trails around the village.

But Dobel also has a lot to offer in terms of culture: Why not visit the local history museum or Neuenbürg Castle, which is only a few kilometres away. Those who like to party should not miss the annual town festival - it always takes place on the first weekend in August and offers live music as well as culinary delights.

And speaking of culinary delights: Dobel also has a lot to offer in this respect. Be sure to try the regional specialities such as Maultaschen or Black Forest ham - ideally in one of the cosy inns in the village.

Even if it should rain, there are plenty of activities to pass the time. How about a visit to the Bad Herrenalb adventure pool or a round of miniature golf, for example?

Summarising: Dobel is definitely worth a trip! Whether outdoor enthusiasts, those interested in culture or bon vivants - everyone gets their money's worth here. And where is the most beautiful place? That's up to you - but we recommend a walk through the idyllic spa gardens or a hike to the "Burgblick" vantage point.
