But the area also has a lot to offer in terms of culture. In Dinklage, it is worth visiting Clemenswerth Castle with its baroque gardens and the "Alte Weberei" museum of local history. In Vechta, on the other hand, you can visit St. George's Cathedral or take a walk through the historic old town.
For events, we recommend the annual Schützenfest in Dinklage and the Christmas market in Vechta - both attract thousands of visitors every year!
Culinary delights are also on offer in the Oldenburg Münsterland: Be sure to try the famous kale with pinkel or enjoy fresh fish from the Steinhuder Meer.
And if it should rain? Then a trip to nearby Cloppenburg to the museum village or to the Thülsfeld dam with its information centre about flora and fauna is worthwhile. No matter whether it's spring, summer, autumn or winter - it's always beautiful in Dinklage and Vechta. Especially in spring, nature blossoms and in autumn you can admire the colourful foliage. In summer, the lakes entice you to swim and in winter there are many cosy Christmas markets.
Our guide to Dinklage and Vechta offers you everything you need to spend an unforgettable holiday. We wish you a lot of fun while discovering!
