Particularly worth seeing are the historic half-timbered houses along the main street and the picturesque church of St. Martin with its striking tower. Another highlight is the 13th-century Werenwag Castle, which is now used as a venue for events.

Culture enthusiasts should definitely plan a visit to the Heimat- und Trachtenmuseum (museum of local history and traditional costumes), which provides insights into the life of times gone by. For music lovers, a visit to a concert in the Kultursaal is a must - top-class performances take place here regularly.

But Denkingen also has a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights: Be sure to try the famous "Denkinger Hefezopf", a sweet speciality made of yeast dough and sultanas, or enjoy regional dishes such as Maultaschen or Spätzle in cosy restaurants.

For those who like to be active, there are numerous hiking and cycling trails to explore the surrounding area - tours through the Upper Danube Nature Park or along the river Breg are particularly beautiful. In winter, the nearby Feldberg ski area is a great place to go skiing and snowboarding.

And what to do when the weather is bad? How about a visit to the indoor swimming pool or a trip to nearby Tuttlingen, where there are numerous museums and cultural events.

Whether in summer or winter - Denkingen is worth a visit at any time of year. Let yourself be enchanted by the idyllic landscape and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. A perfect destination for everyone who is looking for relaxation and wants to leave everyday life behind.
