Our bike tour starts at the train station in Spaichingen, which we leave in a northerly direction on Bahnhofstraße. Shortly after the church of St. Peter and Paul (1), we turn right onto the main road (B14), which we immediately leave again to the left on Dreifaltigkeitsburgstraße. This leads us sharply uphill out of the town area and runs steeply uphill in serpentines. Beautiful nature surrounds us on both sides with dense forest and beautiful green spaces. The sharp ascent takes some effort, while the trees along the way provide welcome shade. On the last two serpentines, the route finally flattens out a little and we don't have far to go to the highest point of the Dreifaltigkeitsberg. At the top, the venerable Holy Trinity Church (2) is enthroned on a panoramic plateau, where we can take a well-deserved break and enjoy the wonderful view. After a short dip, the trail continues sharply uphill over a final hilltop before descending through the Seitenried. The tree population thins out somewhat as our route slowly turns east and leads across a clearing to Böttingen. The small town nestles beautifully in a clearing surrounded by woods. We only touch the western edge of Böttingen, however, as we pass a small chapel and turn left onto Gesheimer Straße. Here, at the foot of the Kleiner Kochelsberg, our route begins to climb steadily again and we have a few metres to climb before reaching the next worthwhile stopover at the Gosheim Chapel (3). The small house of prayer is also surrounded by beautiful nature in a wooded area, where we reach a beautiful clearing with the barbecue area Kehlen (4) a few pedals later. It is worth taking a short break here, where we can enjoy not only refreshments but also the wonderful view. A panoramic information board informs us about the surrounding lowlands and peaks that spread out before our eyes. In the following section of the route, a steep descent awaits us, leading us through the outskirts of Gosheim and back into the forest. Soon we cross the historic bridge (5). Afterwards, the descent flattens out somewhat. The forest soon gives way to a wide meadow area, in which the tranquil town of Denkingen is also located. The route now descends gently downhill through the fields to Spaichingen. There we first follow a cycle path along the built-up area, into which we enter on Heubergstraße. We reach the well-known Dreifaltigkeitsburgstraße, on which we now cycle in the opposite direction back to the starting point of our tour, which we finally reach at the railway station.
