Buggenhagen is located in the picturesque region of Vorpommern-Greifswald and is surrounded by forests, lakes and rivers. The town is known for its beautiful nature with unspoiled landscapes and numerous outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling or fishing. In summer, you can sunbathe on the beach of the nearby Szczecin Lagoon or take a boat trip on the river Peene.

Tourist attractions include Buggenhagen Castle from the 16th century and the 13th-century Church of St. Mary with its impressive Gothic tower.

Cultural highlights include, above all, the annual concerts in the castle park and the "Theaterformen" theatre festival, which attracts international artists.

Culinary specialities are hearty dishes such as kale with pinkel or labskaus - a traditional North German meal of cured beef or pork with mashed potatoes and beetroot.

If it rains, a visit to the local history museum is a good idea or you can settle down in a cosy pub and sample local beers.

It is most beautiful in Buggenhagen in spring when nature awakens and everything is in bloom. But autumn with its bright colours is also worth a trip.

Overall, Buggenhagen offers a varied range of activities for every taste and is definitely worth a trip. This Travel Guide hopes that you will have an unforgettable stay!
