Discover the region

The city itself also has a lot to offer: Historic buildings such as the 18th-century town hall or St Nicolai's Church are well worth a visit. For art lovers, there is the Museum Ritterhaus with an impressive collection of contemporary art.

Another highlight of the region are the numerous lakes, rivers and canals - here you can swim, fish or simply relax. In winter, the area is transformed into a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts: cross-country ski trails and ski areas invite you to explore.

If it rains, it's worth visiting the "Wonnemar" leisure pool with sauna area or the "Kunterbunt" indoor playground. Buchholz also has a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights: Be sure to try the famous marzipan stollen from the local bakery!

Buchholz is particularly beautiful during the spring and summer months - when everything is in bloom and green. But autumn also has its charm with colourful foliage and leisurely walks through the forest.

Overall, Buchholz, Duchy of Lauenburg is a destination that is definitely worth a trip. A perfect destination for nature lovers and anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city. This Travel Guide hopes that you will enjoy your stay in Buchholz!
