Discover the region

Bonerath is known for its idyllic hiking trails through the surrounding vineyards and forest. In spring and summer, you can admire the wildflowers in bloom here or go on a bike tour along the Moselle. When it gets colder, we recommend a visit to the Christmas market in Trier or a cosy picnic in the snow.

For culture enthusiasts, there are numerous sights to discover. The Roman Porta Nigra in Trier is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is only a short drive away. The medieval townscape of Bernkastel-Kues and Malberg Castle are also worth a visit.

Culinary Bonerath has a lot to offer! Be sure to try the local wine from the neighbouring winegrowing village of Leiwen or enjoy traditional dishes such as "Saumagen" (pork stomach stuffed with potatoes) or "Dibbelabbes" (a type of pancake made from grated potatoes).

If it rains, you can retreat into the dry and visit one of the many museums - from the Rheinisches Landesmuseum to the Museum am Dom, there is something to discover for every taste.

Whether you want to enjoy nature or lose yourself in cultural history - Bonerath is definitely worth a visit. Visit us and experience for yourself why this region is so special!
