Welcome to Binz, a charming coastal resort on the island of Rügen. With its picturesque location directly by the sea and surrounded by dense forests, Binz is a popular destination for tourists from all over the world.

Geographical Location and Features Binz is located in the north-east of Germany on the largest German island of Rügen. The town stretches along a beautiful sandy coastline overlooking the Baltic Sea. The surrounding area is characterised by a breathtaking natural scenery, which invites you to go for walks or bicycle tours.

Touristically relevant sights. The most famous sights include the Granitz hunting lodge, a magnificent 19th century castle complex with a viewing tower over the entire region. The historic Kurhaus and the pier are also worth a visit.

Cultural Highlights and Events In addition to museums such as the Ernst Moritz Arndt Museum, Binz also offers numerous cultural events such as concerts or theatre performances. Highlights of the year include the sand sculpture festival in summer and the wine festival in autumn.

Culinary specialities. Fresh fish and seafood, which are offered in many restaurants, are particularly recommended. But also regional specialities such as Pomeranian goose leg or Rügen chalk potatoes should definitely be tried.

Most important outdoor activities and seasons The best time to visit Binz is from May to September, when temperatures are pleasantly warm. The most popular leisure activities include walks along the beach promenade, cycling tours through nature and water sports such as surfing or sailing.

What to do when it rains. Even in bad weather, there is plenty to do in Binz. For example, the Museum of Aviation Technology or the Amber Museum can be visited. A wellness treatment in the hotel's spa area also provides relaxation on a rainy day.

Where it's most beautiful. A walk along the pier during sunset is particularly recommended - here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and the horizon. But also hikes through the nearby beech forest or excursions to the chalk coast of Rügen are unforgettable experiences.

Summarizing: Worth a Destination Binz impresses with its picturesque location directly by the sea, a rich cultural history and numerous opportunities for leisure activities. Whether you are a couple, a family or travelling alone - Binz has something to offer for everyone and is definitely worth visiting.

Serams weiterfahren.
