    Abwechslungsreiche Tour durch herrlichen Wald, teilweise über Wiesen. Immer wieder schöne Rastmöglichkeiten und sogar Einkehrmöglichkeit in Oberlengenhardt im Zollernblick, aktuell sogar montags. Ich bin mit dem Bus 850 vom Bahnhof Bad Liebenzell nach Schömberg bis Rathaus gefahren und dort gestartet. Gut beschrieben durch die Abfolge der Wegzeichen.

    Schützenhaus leider nicht gefunden, daher unterwegs eingestiegen, aber kein Problem. Schöne Runde, bei den derzeitigen Temperaturen paßt die Länge. Höhepunkt natürlich der Aussichtsturm Himmelsglück. Als Wanderer die Stufen hochgeschwitzt. Dann noch der "Flug" mit der Blackforest Flyline. Dazu möchte ich sagen, dass wir Ende der 70iger sind. Der Weg hat uns sehr gut gefallen und dazu zwischendurch Brombeeren genascht. Optimal. Übrigens den Zollern nicht gesehen, dunstig.

    Angereist mit DB aus Großraum Stuttgart. Gute Verbindung, hat alles geklappt. Vom Bahnhof Bad Liebenzell der nagold entlang bis zum Eingang der Monbachschlucht. Diese ist inzwischen wohlbekannt, als Wildromantische. Durch die Hitze in diesen Tagen hat der Bach wenig Wasser. Querungen ohne Probleme. Da kurz vor Ferienbeginn noch viele Schüler aber auch Familien unterwegs. Hinauf nach Monakam. Leider auf Asphalt durch den Ort. Auf dem schmalen Monakamer Kirchenweg über den Friedhof wieder zurück zum Bahnhof Bad Liebenzell. Eine schöne Tour. In der Schlucht angenehme Temperaturen.

    Das Tal ist wunderschön, ideal bei heißem Wetter. Leider aber auch an Werktagen recht überlaufen, man ist nur selten allein. Wer Lust hat, kann am Umkehrpunkt noch 1 km im Monbachtal weiterlaufen. Dieser Teil ist zwar nicht mehr so spektakulär, aber sehr schön und vor allem einsam.

    Toller Rundwanderweg durch die Monbachschlucht, danach geht es eine kurze Steigung hoch nach Monakam. Von dort geht es durch den Wald wieder zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. In Monakam lädt ein Biergarten zur Pause ein, am Ende der Wanderung gibt es verschiedene gastronomische Angebote. Abgesehn von dem Abschnitt bei Monakam verläuft die Strecke weitgehend im Schatten und ist daher auch bei sommerlichen Temperaturen angenehm zu laufen. Beim Abstieg durch den Wald von Monakam muss man gelegentlich aufpassen, dass man einen Wegabzweig nicht übersieht.

Aber die Warnung auf dem Schild von wegen bei Hochwasser zeitweise nicht durchgängig begehbar hätte uns wohl abschrecken besser abschrecken sollen! Denn es waren an (nicht nur an einer, sondern) mehreren alternativlosen Stellen im Verlauf des Weges Fluss-Querungen ohne Brücke nur in Form von Furten über Steine im Wasser zu überwinden - und zumindest bei meiner Frau gab es dann beim vierten oder fünften Mal nasse Füße!

    Schöner Weg bei herbstlichen Wetter mit den Enkelkindern (7 + 12 J.). Steil und teilweise leicht unwegsam geht es zackig hoch. Hier muss man fit und geländegängig sein. Kein Problem für uns. Kleine Rast beim "Alten Schloss", dann auf einer Art Waldautobahn an Stationen zum Riesen Erkinger und dem Wasserwerk vorbei zur Landstraße. Da hier keiner wegen Kindern vom Gas geht, ist Vorsicht angesagt. Auf der anderen Seite ist man schnell bei der Burg. Einzige Bewirtung - ein Getränkeautomat. Immerhin. Wenige Euro investiert und auf den Turm gestiegen, dessen letzte Treppe ganz besonders ist. Schöne Aussicht, aber schlimmes Ende für den Riesen. Abwärts durch Schaf- und Ziegenweide in den Ort. Einkauf bei Frischmann Liebenzeller Marzipan ist ein Muss, ebenso Abschluss im Café Schweigert. Gestärkt und zufrieden auf kurzem Weg zum Bahnhof, wo auf dem großen Parkplatz entlang der Straße das Auto geparkt war.

Abwertend sind lange, ermüdende Asphaltstrecken, Abschnitte durch Gewerbegebiete, abgemähte Wegränder im Wald.
