With its mysterious atmosphere and the lonely, untouched nature, the wild romantic Monbachtal enchants big and small hikers. It lies about three kilometers outside the spa town Bad Liebenzell. Partly the Monbach is crossed along the hiking path over boulders and fallen trees. If you don't watch out in some places, you risk getting wet feet. Moss-covered stones, fallen tree trunks, and a vegetation that could almost be called the "Swabian primeval forest" characterize this mystical valley. The Monbach Gorge was developed in 1901 and is part of the Black Forest East Trail. Even in high summer, there is a cool and humid climate here. There is actually only one reason not to take this path: high water. Then the brook crossings become too difficult. The path is very exciting also for children. There is even a song about the Monbachtal.
