    Der Augsburger Höhenweg ist, wie vielfach beschrieben, nur erfahrenen, trittsicheren und schwindelfreien Bergwanderern vorenthalten. Der Höhenweg sollte auch nur bei stabilen und am Besten trockenen Wetterverhältnissen begangen werden. Man muss viele steile und abschüssige Passagen meistern. Oft sind die Hände zum Kraxeln einzusetzen. Einige Stellen sind zum Glück mit Stahlseil oder Kletterseil versichert, jedoch bei weitem nicht alle kritischen (was auch gar nicht möglich wäre). Der Höhenweg bietet tolle Aussichten in Richtung Lech- und Inntal und belohnt die Anstrengungen. Die Angaben zur Gehzeit mit 8-10 h sind sehr realistisch und dürfen nicht unterschätzt werden. Durch das viele auf und ab in Kombination mit der Dichte an ausgesetzten und schwierigen Passagen ist eine gute Kondition erforderlich. Wir hatten zum Glück keinen Steinschlag, jedoch ist der Helm obligatorisch. Wir hatten auch Steigeisen und Pickel dabei, jedoch waren diese bei den aktuellen Verhältnissen nicht notwendig. Mit die schwierigste Stelle bei den aktuellen Verhältnissen, stellte für uns das zweite Schneefeld vor dem Grünen Brünnle dar. Da kaum noch Schnee in der Rinne lag, klettert man sehr tief ab, quert die unterspülten Schneereste und muss dann ca. 3-5 m nahezu senkrecht den Fels hoch. Dieser hatte eher wenige gute Tritte, sodass wir uns rein über Armkraft am Seil (Achtung, ist leicht beschädigt) und am parallel hängenden (nicht mehr festen) Drahtseil hochgezogen haben. Ab dem Unteren Grießl folgt dann bis zur Hütte unkritisches Gelände und man kann das bis hierher aufgebaute Adrenalin etwas abbauen und den Weg genießen. Alles in allem ein großartiges, aber auch kräftezehrendes (mental und physisch) Erlebnis!
