The proposed route will take you to discover the entire South-east ridge of the Massiccio del Grappa overlooking the Valle del Piave extending on the horizon up to the Venetian Lagoon with the bell tower of San Marco rising on the horizon. You will enjoy endless views of the Venetian plain and discover some of the most significant places of the First World War crossing trenches, outposts, and military roads carved into the rock.

The proposed loop highlights the natural amphitheater of Alano di Piave situated halfway up the hill on the eastern slope of Monte Grappa which, during both world wars, endured the violent clash of the armies vying for control of the land. A beautiful climb will take us to the panoramic viewpoint of Cima Mandria where the view stretches from Trieste to the Apennines with the Feltrine Dolomites watching us impassively.
