MONTEGRAPPA OUTDOOR
The proposed route will take you to discover the entire South-east ridge of the Massiccio del Grappa overlooking the Valle del Piave extending on the horizon up to the Venetian Lagoon with the bell tower of San Marco rising on the horizon. You will enjoy endless views of the Venetian plain and discover some of the most significant places of the First World War crossing trenches, outposts, and military roads carved into the rock.
Pederobba - Monfenera - Cima Mandria - Valle delle Mure - Malga Piz - Alano - Monfenera - Pederobba
The run proposes climbing Monfenera and Tomba starting from the center of Pederobba, with a passage through the Monte Palon trenches climbing to the Meatte entirely carved into the rock during the great world war. After Casone Boccaor, it will be pleasant to explore the Valle delle Mure crossing the Alano mountain huts up to Malga Camparona. For the tireless, the suggested return involves descending towards Alano di Piave from Malga Piz and then climbing Monfenera from the north side to cross the ridge. Alternatively, it is possible to shorten the route retracing the outward ridge that extends from Monte Palon to Monfenera and then descend to the town of Pederobba.
