Roadbook
The route climbs mainly through beech and mixed forest, characteristic for Čergov. After reaching the ridge, you will join the important long-distance route E3 – the East Carpathian Trail, which runs across Eastern Slovakia.
The summit of Minčol (1,153 m above sea level) is the highest point of the Čergov mountains. Although the peak itself is partially forested, nearby there are meadows and open areas with panoramic views. In good visibility, you can observe the Tatras, Levočské vrchy, Busov, and Ondavská Highlands.
Continuing along the ridge you will reach Malý Minčol (1,054 m above sea level), which offers further viewpoints and a quieter atmosphere. The ridge meadows are rich in mountain flowers during the summer months and provide a typical Čergov landscape.
The return is possible by the same route back to Livovská Huta or by combining alternative routes, which completes the circuit.
