Via ferratas in the Höllental

The start of the route was on the sunny April 29 at the large parking lot at the Weichtalhaus. It went along the Höllental road to the entry at the Schönbrunnerstiege and then into the Große Hölltal towards the Gaislochsteig, which lived up to its reputation as a slippery, earthy and dripping path in difficulty grade A-B with a small waterfall at the exposed section. Since we were a group of 11 people and some kids were with us, we split at the junction to the AV-Steig, where some snowfields had to be overcome. Then it continued above the Gaislochsteig partially already in snow to the junction of the Gustav-Jahnsteig, which presented itself well except for a few unsecured sections. At the junction in the upper part of the AV-Steig, which was already not always easy to walk due to some snowfields, especially the last hundred meters of altitude, it went quite quickly to the Höllental viewpoint. After a break in the sun, the route went towards Praterstern on partially snowy paths due to the altitude of 1600m, where the ways separated again. One group went down the Wachthüttelkamm, the other to the cable car. Great round with several options.
