Tappenkarsee loop: The long one

From the Jägersee parking lot, about 2 km downstream along the Kleinarler Ache. Turn left onto a forest road and follow hiking trail no. 83 to the Klaussattel above the Loosbühelalm. Do not descend to the Alm but continue left towards Loosbühel (2,043 m). Slightly descend, then flat and later climb up to the Filzmoossattel (2,062 m). Then it goes downhill again and up through beautiful alpine terrain to the Draugsteintörl (2,082 m). Along the scenic grassy ridge over the Gurenstein (2,219 m) to the Karteistörl (2,145 m). Down to the Tappenkarsee hut, along the lake shore to the Tappenkarseealm, and down many switchbacks on the marked hiking trail to the Schwabalm parking lot. Three flat kilometers along the toll road back to Jägersee.
