Route E - Ars Waterfall

This loop starts gently on a forest track before continuing on a path that becomes steeper. The climb along the waterfall is tough and must be well managed. Once at the top of the waterfall, a balcony path alternates flat sections and small ascents before reaching Guzettou, a beautiful mountain pasture with a cabin. The descent loses 800m with very few flat sections to relax the legs. It's better to have good technique, or simply walk! The record time for the course is 1h 09min 15s.

Note that the presence of avalanche gullies does not allow this route to be opened early in the season: check with the reception of the Couserans Trail Area or the Tourist Office.
