From there, the trail leads round the Karhorn. This section is characterised by impressive views towards Warth-Schröcken and the Lech Valley. The return journey takes you to the historic Walser settlement of Bürstegg, a special cultural highlight. From here, the descent into the valley begins, which can be steeper in places and slightly more technically challenging.
In the valley, you reach the Bodenalpe and then follow the Lechweg back to Lech and the starting point.

Equipment
For alpine trail running routes, the following kit is recommended: trail running shoes with good grip are essential for varied terrain and narrow paths. Opt for breathable technical clothing worn in layers, as well as a lightweight wind or rain jacket, as the weather in the mountains can change quickly. Sufficient fluids and energy should go without saying, as should a small running rucksack. Trail running poles can provide noticeable relief and extra stability on both ascents and longer descents.Derived from the technical difficulty and the stamina requirements.
