The water treading basin “Auf der Scheibe” is not a water treading basin maintained or managed by the city.
When entering the water treading basins, caution is generally advised as sharp/spiky objects may lie on the basin floor. Especially in the water treading basins “Auf der Scheibe” and “Steegersee,” this is not always visible due to the dark moor/natural water.

Public transport
Public-transport-friendly
The railway has a long tradition in Aulendorf, which is why several railway lines meet at Aulendorf station:
- KBS 751 (Stuttgart-) Ulm – Friedrichshafen – Lindau (at least hourly)
- KBS 753 Aulendorf – Kißlegg - Hergatz or – Memmingen (every two hours)
- KBS 766 (Ulm-) Aulendorf – Sigmaringen – Tübingen (hourly)
Additionally, the InterCity “Oberschwaben” Dortmund – Innsbruck stops once daily in Aulendorf.
On the route to Friedrichshafen, the Deutsche Bahn service is supplemented by the Bodensee-Oberschwaben-Bahn (BOB), operated under municipal management. The modern BOB trains run hourly between Aulendorf and Friedrichshafen.
Aulendorf is optimally connected to the national and international rail network for cities of comparable size. Thus, Aulendorf is the rail hub of Upper Swabia.

Parking
Aulendorf offers good parking options. In the underground car park “Am Kurpark” and through the many parking spaces along Hauptstraße and Bachstraße, Schlossplatz, and Parkstraße, there are sufficient parking spaces available. And the best part is – all above-ground parking lots in downtown Aulendorf are free of charge! Nevertheless, please observe the limited parking time of 2.5 hours with a parking disc.Coordinates
